The NHL season is still young, but McDavid has already put up some impressive numbers. He has scored 15 goals and added 25 assists in just 31 games this season. That puts him on pace for 41 goals and 67 assists, which would be career-highs in both categories.

McDavid’s production is all the more impressive when you consider the fact that he is playing on a team that has been beset by injuries this season. The Edmonton Oilers have been without two of their top forwards, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jesse Puljujarvi, for significant stretches of the season.

Despite those injuries, McDavid has been able to carry the Oilers offense. He has been the driving force behind their recent run of success, which has seen them climb into a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

There are a lot of great players in the NHL, but right now, Connor McDavid is the best of the bunch. He has shown time and time again that he is capable of carrying his team on his back. With the Oilers finally starting to get healthy, they could be a dangerous team in the second half of the season.

If McDavid can keep up his torrid pace, he will be in line for another Hart Trophy. Connor McDavid is the NHL’s best player. He’s a generational talent that comes along once in a lifetime. He has the rare combination of speed, skill, and strength that makes him virtually unstoppable on the ice. Not to mention, he’s an incredible leader and motivator, which makes him the perfect captain for the Oilers.

There’s really no weakness in his game. He’s an absolute stud and is only getting better with each passing year. It’s truly a privilege to watch him play and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
