Ranking the NHL’s new ‘Reverse Retro’ sweaters

NHL teams are bringing back their “Reverse Retro” jerseys, and we here at NHL.com are ranking them all!

We’ll be honest, it was tough to narrow it down to just 10 sweaters. The NHL and Adidas have outdone themselves with these new designs, and there are so many good ones to choose from. But we had to make some tough decisions, and these are the jerseys that just missed the cut.

  1. Carolina Hurricanes

The ‘Canes have had some great jerseys over the years, but this one just didn’t quite do it for us. It’s a little too busy and there’s just too much going on. We did like the use of the old school logo, though.

  1. Columbus Blue Jackets

This is a really cool jersey, but it’s very similar to the one they wear now. We would have liked to see them mix it up a little more.

  1. Detroit Red Wings

This is a nice jersey, but it’s very safe. It’s basically just their current home jersey with a different color scheme.

  1. Florida Panthers

This is a solid jersey, but it’s not one of our favorites. We think it’s a little too plain and boring.

  1. Los Angeles Kings

This is a cool jersey, but we’re not sure about the color scheme. The dark blue and green just don’t really go together in our opinion.

  1. Minnesota Wild

This is a nice jersey, but it’s very similar to the one they wear now. We would have liked to see them mix it up a little more.

  1. Montreal Canadiens

This is a cool jersey, but we’re not sure about the color scheme. The dark blue and green just don’t really go together in our opinion.

  1. Nashville Predators

This is a solid jersey, but it’s not one of our favorites. We think it’s a little too plain and boring.

  1. New Jersey Devils

This is a cool jersey, but we’re not sure about the color scheme. The dark blue and green just don’t really go together in our opinion.

  1. New York Islanders

This is a cool jersey, but it’s very similar to the one they wear now. We would have liked to see them mix it up a little more.
