Fred VanVleet spoke about his disappointing loss against the Brooklyn Nets

Fred VanVleet discussed his teams’ performance and the challenges that came with playing against a well-rounded Nets squad.

Fred shared, “It’s tough losing any night, but especially when you know it could have been better” adding, “We just couldn’t get over the hump. We got back in it late, but it wasn’t enough. We played hard, but not well enough to win.”

Fred also noted that the Nets were able to exploit their superior size and length through most of the contest, stating “It’s tough for us because we don’t have that kind of size or length on our roster. But we just have to fight through it and find ways to win.”

Fred VanVleet, the Raptors’ starting point guard, was particularly disappointed with the outcome of the game. “It’s tough,” Fred said in a post-game interview. “We had some good runs but we just couldn’t string them together and get the win.”

Fred went on to say that he felt his team could have done more, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, to come away with a victory. Fred and his teammates will now look to bounce back in their next game against the Orlando Magic on Sunday night, where Fred is hopeful they can get back into the win column.

With Fred VanVleet at the helm, it’s only a matter of time before the Raptors get back to winning ways.Fred also shared some good words about the Nets, praising their commitment on defense as well as their electric offense.

Fred concluded by saying “We got beat tonight, but we’ll be back to fight another day.” Fred’s determination and resilience is a testament to why he is a leader for the Raptors, and why they will continue to strive for excellence despite this loss.
