Bills vs. Patriots — the results and a final score
Josh Allen threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns, while the Bills defense held Cam Newton to just 174 yards passing. The Patriots were unable to generate much of a spark on the offensive end, notching only one touchdown in the second quarter.
With this win, the Buffalo Bills clinch their fourth consecutive winning season and move into sole possession of first place in the AFC East. The Patriots, on the other hand, have seen their playoff chances take a severe hit as they now sit 3-9 and at the bottom of the division.
The Bills continue to prove that they are one of the top teams in the NFL while the Patriots are struggling to find their footing. This matchup was a reminder that football is a game of inches and the Bills were able to make the plays when it mattered most.
The Bills have now secured a victory in four straight meetings against the Patriots and look poised to continue their success into the playoffs. The Bills’ defense held the Patriots to just 3 points in the first half before New England finally got on the board with a field goal late in the third quarter.
The Bills would respond with a touchdown shortly after and hold their lead through the rest of the game. Additionally, the Bills ran the ball extremely well; rookie running back Devin Singletary ran for 106 yards on just 16 carries.
Meanwhile, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady completed 22 of 36 passes for 271 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. All in all, it was a hard-fought battle between two AFC East rivals that saw the Buffalo Bills come out on top with a final score of 24-10.
The Bills have now clinched their fourth consecutive winning season and will look to continue that success throughout the remainder of the NFL season.
