Here are the top-five MLB free agents and where they should sign for the 2023-2023 season.

  1. J.T. Realmuto, C, Philadelphia Phillies

The 31-year-old catcher is one of MLB’s best all-around players, providing solid offense (.849 OPS, 21 HR in 2019) to go along with his great defense. He would be a significant upgrade for any team, but the Phillies are unlikely to let him go after trading for him last offseason.

  1. Trevor Bauer, RHP, Cincinnati Reds

The 31-year-old right-hander had a breakout season in 2020, posting a 1.73 ERA and 0.795 WHIP with 100 strikeouts in just 11 starts. He’s one of the MLB’s best pitchers and would be an excellent addition to any pitching staff. The Reds are unlikely to re-sign him, however, as they are reportedly not willing to meet his asking price.

  1. George Springer, OF, Houston Astros

The 33-year-old outfielder is a five-tool player who can do it all. He’s a great hitter (.852 OPS, 39 HR in 2019), he can play all three outfield positions well, and he’s a good baserunner.nThe Astros are reportedly interested in re-signing him, but they may not be able to afford his asking price.

  1. Kris Bryant, 3B, Chicago Cubs

The 30-year-old third baseman is a former MVP who has been one of MLB’s best hitters over the past few years. He’s a great defender at third base, and he has the ability to play other positions as well. The Cubs are reportedly interested in re-signing him, but they may not be able to afford his asking price.

  1. Nolan Arenado, 3B, Colorado Rockies

The 31-year-old third baseman is one of MLB’s best power hitters, slugging at least 40 home runs in each of the past six seasons. He’s also a great defender at third base. The Rockies are reportedly interested in re-signing him, but they may not be able to afford his asking price.
